What is this raised bump on my hand?

I've had a raised area on my hand for many years now. It is red and hard but when I shower it can turn a pale pink colour and go soft. I have been treated for eczema on my arms for years but none of the treatments have seemed to worked on this particular area. I'm not even sure that it is eczema on my hand.
